Family Grown

“Carefully selected over generations, just for your plate.”

Our Story

Rooted in Faith, Hard Work, and Family.

It all began in 1977 when Lyle and Lynnel Job started farming a small 27-acre plot just south of Richvale, California.

Lyle came from the fields of North Dakota, while Lynnel from her family’s cherished Tahoe Inn in Tahoe City.

Together, they built a life rooted in:

  • Respect

  • Hard Work

  • Faithful Stewardship

“If you can’t find it, build it.”

-The Job Family Motto

Growing Together

From custom farming alongside Lyle’s family, to building and fabricating their own equipment, to leasing land and raising five kids- the Job family has always embraced challenges with grit and gratitude.

They weren’t just raised on the farm- they were shaped by it.

“We believe in using the gifts God gave us -

to farm the land, serve others, and enjoy His creation.”

Today & the Future

Today, the Job family farms over 700 acres, including fields dedicated to the Caloroma 201- Pacific Flyway Jasmine long grain rice. Their oldest daughter, Andrea Job and their son, Daniel Job, have joined the operation to continue the family tradition.

Their other three daughters may be pursuing their own passions, but their hearts- and boots- always find their way back to the farm.

A Family Tradition You Can Taste

Lexi says it best,

When our granddaughter, Lexi, was just six years old, she sat down for dinner and took her first bite of rice — but it was a different type of rice than she was used to. She immediately turned around and said, “This doesn’t taste like Pop’s rice.”

She didn’t know it yet, but she was calling out the unmistakable difference that comes from rice grown with care, patience, and tradition. Our family’s rice is cultivated in the same fields for generations, harvested at the perfect moment, and handled with love every step of the way.

If a 6-year-old can taste the difference, you can too.

Kids are honest — and so is our rice.
