How to Cook Our Jasmine Rice

Simple stovetop method- the way we make it at home.

(No rinsing needed!)

    • 1-1½ cups water

    • 1 cup jasmine rice

    • 1 tsp butter (optional)

    Our go-to ratio:
    3 cups rice to 4½ cups water

    1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan.

    2. Stir in rice and butter.

    3. Cover and reduce heat to low.

    4. Simmer for about 15 minutes, or until all water is absorbed.

    5. Taste the rice. If it’s still too firm, add a splash more water, cover, and let it steam off the heat until tender.

    • Lots more recipes online if you want to get creative.

    • Extra rice? Store it in a cool place, or even freeze it for later.
